This color from the brand Essie is probably one of their most popular because it's pretty close to the iconic color of the blue robin egg boxes of Tiffany. It's not exact since Tiffany Blue is trademarked but for it's quality, packaging, and color payout it's worth $7.79. I've been avoiding wearing this color for a month since it's not really a fall color... but I just had to wear it once this year. This color is a permanent color.
Sorry for how rough my nails look, one of my nails broke so I had to trim the rest.

Essie Bahama Mama Review/Swatch
Bahama Mama is the perfect color for fall since it's a nice creamy burgundy that pushes towards purple. It's super opaque at 2 coats. Don't mind the glitter I was testing it out but so far it's been 10 days and nothing has chipped. I really like Essie because of the formulation and the packaging. The colors that come out are always very tempting to buy them all. Bahama Mama is part of their permanent collection so you should be able to find it wherever they sell Essie. It is priced around $8.
Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Mer-Maid For Each Other Review/Swatch
I've always had a nail polish obsession. Anything duo chrome is a must have for me. OPI is one of those classic brands that you cannot go wrong with and this polish also applies. This is easily found in drugstores and Target and Walmart. This is a nice pigmented consistency with the colors green, yellow, and blue. If you love duo chromes I recommend buying this
Essie Penny Talk Nail Polish Review/Swatch
Penny Talk is a metallic finish that is bronze like a penny but does push towards rose gold. Essie polishes are completely opaque and creamy texture. If you're looking for a rose gold polish I recommend this since I love rose gold and essie. I don't know what else I can say about how great this is except the price. I really dislike "high end" polish prices but for the quality it's worth it sometimes.
Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy Nail Enamel in Milky Way
Revlon came out with a cool concept of two step polishes in one. I really love the sparkle parts because I have nothing like them in my collection. There is a huge range of colors but this one is silver flex and dark gray polish. It went perfectly opaque in one coat and comes off easily with acetone nail polish remover. I think the concept is cool but it felt weird painting my nails with the packaging. I would buy more of these for the glitter flex but other than that it's nothing special.
Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Tenacious Teal Swatch
Here's another swatch of another polish from the color show line. For the price, I think they quality is amazing. You can get these for $3. If you change your nail polish often or if your top coat is amazing, you won't have a problem with chipping. I warn those who don't use a top coat. Also, you pay for what you get so the amount is smaller and the quality isn't like Essie polishes. I like the Revlon Colorstay formulation a lot better but the Color Show colors are different. I really like this color for fall and I don't have a color like this. It lasted for 1 week without chipping.
When Models Own Gets to 100,00 Facebook likes, there will be a 50% sale!!
I know most of the people that read this blog are not UK based, but I've dreamed of owning some models own nail polishes and it would be the perfect time to spend it if we get this sale! All we need to do is get 100,000 likes on facebook! Please like their page if you're interested. The minimum spend is 25 Euros which is equilivant to roughly $31 but you would get 50% off of that! that means their usual 5 Euro polishes will be 2.5 Euros which approx. is $3!!!!
That's all I wanted to say but get ready for an influx of lip product reviews because I have about 10 in my drafts...
Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer Green With Envy Swatch/Review
I've been looking for a mint color and the new Maybelline polishes are very affordable around $3 for it's quality. It's above average to me but it's not as nice as the Revlon Color Stay and Essie polishes but I don't really mind since the bottle is cute and compact and it's opaque with 2-3 coats. Green With Envy is a green toned mint and I really love it. If you want a good color selection with a very good price the Color Show line is great! They do have some fall limited edition colors. The amount is .23 FL. OZ. but who even uses up the basic .46 anyways.
NOTD: Galaxy Nails
Images of Galaxies have been showing up on clothing and nails so after I found this tutorial on Beautylish, I decided to do it myself and I think it turned out great. Next time I'll probably be lighter on all the color.
Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel Base Coat & Top Coat Review
Revlon has been hitting home runs with their new lines this year and the Colorstay Polish Line is probably one of the best drugstore polishes I've tried that retails under $5. I usually don't buy top and bottom coats from drugstore brands because growing up my mind was set to high end = better. That changed when all my top coat polishes that I have became so used to the point it was a thick bubbly consistency making them useless. Since I really liked the actual color polishes i thought i would give them a try and I don't think I'm going back to a more expensive brand from top and bottom coats again! The consistency is very smooth and not thick at all, more watery than other brands but I don't really mind it. The brush applicators are actually two in one and it makes applying polishes A LOT easier than smaller brushes.
The base coat looks opaque but when applied it's clear. The top coat provides one of the shiniest finishes I have seen. If you're looking for a new top and base coat I totally recommend these. They won't put a hole in your wallet and they will give you the finish and protection you need. For those that don't use top and base coats I highly suggest using a them to protect your actual nails and your manicure.
I bought these at Walmart, it's kind of strange that Target doesn't carry some of the polishes from this line.
Revlon Colorstay Polish/Longwear Nail Enamel in Buttercup Review + Swatch
The Colorstay range of these polishes is fairly new but I ventured out to Walmart to get this color is Buttercup is MIA from Target. Buttercup is an opaque pastel yellow. I always have bad luck with yellow nail polishes because if they are not opaque, they will look like stained nails and that is not a good look. Buttercup goes on opaque nicely with just 2 coats but 3 coats will ensure all smoothness with the color. If you're at a Walmart or another drugstore (Target does not carry this color) I suggest buying this if you were looking for a opaque pastel yellow. The brush is more wide so it makes it a lot easier to apply the polish. It makes me look more tan and I'm pretty sure it will be gorgeous on darker skin tones, lighter skin tones i'm not too sure about. These retail for around $5 and Buttercup was as impressive as the other Colorstay polishes that i currently have. Two thumbs up for Revlon this year.
NOTD: Blue to Purple Ombre Nails
I got bored so i decided to do some more ombre nails with darker colors. I know it's messy but I only did these in 5 minutes. I think the key to doing ombre nails is to apply two coats of the base color and use colors that aren't too similar. The polishes i used were Maybelline Color Show's Ice Queen, Revlon's Color Stay in Coastal Surf and Indigo Night.
Up & Up Polish Remover Dip-it Acetone (Target Brand)
I've always wanted a nail polish remover in a jar... especially acetone since the people in the nail shops use it to do french manicures. I am so glad i invested $2.54 because this is amazing. It's ideal to use it to remove fake nails but you can remove any kind of polish. I'm pretty sure this is going to make removing glitter polish a lot easier than the basic cotton round and polish remover. In the jar there's acetone and a pink plastic thing which contains the bristles that you scrub your nail polish off with. I tested out how well it can clean up white for french manicures it it worked out well! I will probably attempt my own french nails with this using an ecotools concealer brush. I recommend any brush that is DENSE! A flimsy brush will leave you with messy lines and frustrations.
Essie A Crewed Interest Nail Polish Swatch
This polish is probably the perfect pink to me. I love peach shades and on the site it is described as a "luminous peach shade". It is in stores right now part of a previous collection.
Sonia Kashuk Smokes And Mirrors Nail Polish Swatch
This is probably one of the cheapest and most gorgeous polishes ever. This probably could be called foil. Only found at target and it was around $4-$5.
Nails Inc. Porchester Place Swatch
My first nails inc. polish that is regular and not magnetic. I'm really happy with it! It's orange with a hint of pink! Not completely orange but not verging onto coral.
