Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in Moonlit Swatch/Review/Photos

I really liked my other quad from Revlon so I thought I would get another one for kicks. Personally I would not recommend this because some of the colors are chalky, some have a lot of fall out, and the only matte shade that isn't chalky is the darkest color. I decided to give this to my sister because I do not care for it at all. Out of all the color selections there is, there is better pigmentation in the other ones. This quad is probably decent for a drugstore eye shadow but Revlon has done much better and other brands too. I know it looks better on your eyes but it doesn't really impress me.
If you like your eye shadow to be sparkly, then you might like this better than me. It's something I would use if I HAD to but not in my interest would I choose to. I would rate this quad a D or C or a 6.5/10

ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Toasted Review/Swatch/Pictures

Elf is famously known for their price of their products and how most of the time the quality isn't so bad. I'm a big fan of their Studio line because it is better in quality than their essential line but the prices vary from $3-$6. I tried their eyeshadows from which you fill up your own quad but I wasn't really happy with it. I really like baked eyeshadows because of their pigmentation so I thought it wouldn't hurt to pick up a couple to try and I'm so glad I did. I got all the items from the studio line 50% off so the eyeshadows (which are a newer release) cost $1.50. I pigmentation and texture is great, it goes on smooth but not buttery. The size of the pan is about the size of the Maybelline Bouncy Blushes if that helps but considering what I paid for it was a BARGAIN. The packaging is okay but most likely will break is dropped.

If you're interested in baked eyeshadows I would recommend picking this up. If you hate baked eyeshadows I don't know if you would like this since it does has the same qualities as other baked eyeshadows in the market but for $3 it wouldn't hurt to try if you are still up to it. These eyeshadows are great for people on the go since they look great washed over the lid. I don't know if I would ever hit pan on these. I've always been a big fan of ELF for their price but I wouldn't consider their products the best quality more like a bang for your buck.

NOTD: Galaxy Nails

Images of Galaxies have been showing up on clothing and nails so after I found this tutorial on Beautylish, I decided to do it myself and I think it turned out great. Next time I'll probably be lighter on all the color.

Sephora Haul

This is my first order from Sephora because usually I just buy in store but the Smashbox Quad for $10 was so tempting so I decided to buy other necessities along with it. I chose three samples and put a coupon code for the deluxe size of the Chloe perfume. I'm looking forward to the Hello Oxygen Foundation Sample and the Naked Foundation Sample a lot. I didn't want the other samples so I decided to get the Clarins sample for my mom. My order came in 2 days with free shipping.

Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel Base Coat & Top Coat Review

Revlon has been hitting home runs with their new lines this year and the Colorstay Polish Line is probably one of the best drugstore polishes I've tried that retails under $5. I usually don't buy top and bottom coats from drugstore brands because growing up my mind was set to high end = better. That changed when all my top coat polishes that I have became so used to the point it was a thick bubbly consistency making them useless. Since I really liked the actual color polishes i thought i would give them a try and I don't think I'm going back to a more expensive brand from top and bottom coats again! The consistency is very smooth and not thick at all, more watery than other brands but I don't really mind it. The brush applicators are actually two in one and it makes applying polishes A LOT easier than smaller brushes.

The base coat looks opaque but when applied it's clear. The top coat provides one of the shiniest finishes I have seen. If you're looking for a new top and base coat I totally recommend these. They won't put a hole in your wallet and they  will give you the finish and protection you need. For those that don't use top and base coats I highly suggest using a them to protect your actual nails and your manicure.

I bought these at Walmart, it's kind of strange that Target doesn't carry some of the polishes from this line.

Revlon Colorstay Polish/Longwear Nail Enamel in Buttercup Review + Swatch

The Colorstay range of these polishes is fairly new but I ventured out to Walmart to get this color is Buttercup is MIA from Target. Buttercup is an opaque pastel yellow. I always have bad luck with yellow nail polishes because if they are not opaque, they will look like stained nails and that is not a good look. Buttercup goes on opaque nicely with just 2 coats but 3 coats will ensure all smoothness with the color. If you're at a Walmart or another drugstore (Target does not carry this color) I suggest buying this if you were looking for a opaque pastel yellow. The brush is more wide so it makes it a lot easier to apply the polish. It makes me look more tan and I'm pretty sure it will be gorgeous on darker skin tones, lighter skin tones i'm not too sure about. These retail for around $5 and Buttercup was as impressive as the other Colorstay polishes that i currently have. Two thumbs up for Revlon this year.

NOTD: Blue to Purple Ombre Nails

I got bored so i decided to do some more ombre nails with darker colors. I know it's messy but I only did these in 5 minutes. I think the key to doing ombre nails is to apply two coats of the base color and use colors that aren't too similar. The polishes i used were Maybelline Color Show's Ice Queen, Revlon's Color Stay in Coastal Surf and Indigo Night.
